About Position

Reporting to the Senior Director, AWP Global Parts Operations, this position plays a key role as the site leader of the Southaven facility, with responsibility for the management of the daily business/operations and aftermarket functions for Terex USA, LLC. The primary responsibility of this role is to direct the warehouse 3PL partner and local Terex team members to meet and exceed the overall operational performance and compliance.

+ Maintain and enhance a “safety first” approach to all operating functions ensuring that Terex health and safety policies and procedures are implemented and followed in line with the Terex programs and values.

+ Manage the relationship with the 3PL in Southaven and internal teams to deliver superior, industry-leading Operations performance based on a comprehensive KPI system.

+ In cooperation with the Business Segments and Finance ensure adherence to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

+ Lead and coordinate all Southaven site activities across Terex segments and all other functions operating on site.

+ Benchmark Southaven Warehouse with those of leading distribution companies and partner with the segments to implement key features and functionality that enhance warehouse capabilities.

+ Take a lead role in initiating and driving industry best practices and continuous improvement activities for North America Warehouse operations to enhance dealer and customer experience.

+ Analyse current and future sales volumes to develop the most efficient and cost effective distribution network.

+ Conduct data-driven analyses to continuously maintain a pulse o Warehouse performance.

+ Leverage superior Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge, drive the WMS optimization and transition picking activities from RF scanning to ‘voice picking’.

+ Provide direction and leadership to all departmental/functional leaders within the organization to align with the objectives of the Aftermarket team in Southaven and Terex.

+ Manage all facility responsibilities including building maintenance.

+ Coordinate the inventory management process that complies with both audit and financial requirements in terms of inventory accuracy.

+ Execute operational audits in line with Terex requirements for inbound, outbound, storage and transportation processes as part of the performance monitoring and ensure that corrective actions are taken and communicated immediately.

+ Monitor transportation performance and services as well as offer appropriate group corrective actions.

+ Drive operational improvements in terms of Quality and 5S.

+ In cooperation with Customer Service, prioritizes activities to facilitate the resolution of backlog orders and ‘Unit Down’ parts.

+ Ensure that all Terex HR, Ethics and compliance policies and procedures are known, applied and followed by site staff.

+ Act as interface with and point of escalation for Terex commercial operations centers and Terex sales affiliates in respect of the operations & transportation performance out of the Southaven Parts Distribution Center.

+ Directly support the Vice President, Parts & Solutions, Materials Processing and the Senior Director, AWP Parts Operations, with requests related to the functional area and ad-hoc projects.

+ Seamlessly collaborate with the other functional teams, specifically:

+ the inventory planning and procurement teams

+ the Customer Service team

+ the Sales teams

+ HR/IT and Finance

- Ability to work remotely

About You

Required Qualifications:

+ Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain

+ A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in managing large warehouse operations, preferably of complex in-house operations and 3PL contracts in an international environment.

+ Proven record in managing, and continuously improving Warehouse operations.

+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, manage, motivate and engage a high performing team.

+ Ability to interact successfully across different cultures and on different business maturity levels.

+ Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis and process improvements).

+ Excellent written and spoken English

+ Travel up to 50% if not located in Southaven, MS

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Track record of delivering excellent results and delivering process improvements by applying not only expertise but drive, energy and commitment

+ Demonstrable experience and knowledge of industry leading practices and processes in warehouse management systems

+ Superb interpersonal skills, collaborates successfully with internal and external stakeholders and customers. First class

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and flexible team environment.

+ Drive for results with the ability to manage to tight timelines .

+ Strong financial and commercial awareness

+ Experience in Warehouse & Transportation process enhancements and standardization.

+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing/logistics concepts

+ Knowledge in hazardous material handling and shipping, transportation laws and product packing desirable

+ Effective project management skills desirable

+ Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
