Responsible for producing high quality special and routine radiographs; selecting proper technical factors based upon individual patient variations; preparation of all equipment/supplies needed for angiographic procedures; ordering supplies and materials as needed; assisting physicians in administering contrast media. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in QRM activities.
Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Licensure: ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI registration; along with an Arkansas License (New grads will have 90 days during their orientation period to obtain their license and at least one accepted cardiac, vascular, or interventional registry.)
Preferred Licensure: RCIS preferred
Preferred Experience: 3 years experience in electrophysiology and 3 years experience in cardiac and special procedures. Also, able to assist physician with interventions.
