Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics without issue.
Provide leadership, training and direction when necessary to other maintenance technicians or machine operators.
Ability to determine the root cause for troubleshooting systems.
Perform preventative maintenance up to and including Annual PM’s.
Set up preventative maintenance paperwork for new machinery in designated areas.
Perform troubleshooting, repair, and PM on high speed packaging equipment such as : cartooners, baggers, scales, conveyors, x-ray, and coders.
Ability to troubleshoot PLC’s (Allen Bradley), VFD’s, and log in and trouble shoot Ladder logic to diagnose a problem.
Proficiency with wiring motors up to 480, tracing electrical issues, setting parameters, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatic s, and valves.
Problem solving using defined methodologies.
Comfortable with speaking to a machine service engineer to gather information, report unusual issues and problems for resolution.
Detect, document, report and repair improper machine operation and faulty equipment
Understand and certify in our LOTO program.
Knowledge of GMP and FDA is required

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as Multi craft technician (FDA or packaging preferred)
- would consider military experience with mechanical background
- entry level would have to require a technical degree (automation or industrial maintenance)
Proven ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics (level 3)
Ability to read ladder logic for Allen Bradley PLC’s (level 3) basic understanding (level 2 )
Proficient knowledge of GMP , FDA, and LOTO protocols
