Processes Union Dues changes including but not limited to entering Union Dues cards, processing withdrawals, annual system updates and assisting Labor Department with negotiation issues. Ensures accurate calculation of salaries, vacation, sick, disability and workers compensation leave; taxes, withholdings, etc. Generates and responds to inquiries regarding paychecks. Provides inputs regarding other HR activities.
The Main Responsibilities
+ Analyze and validate accuracy of Payroll simulation bi-weekly using 101 compare reports
+ Process Union Dues changes – Enter cards, process withdrawals, partner with IT to update dues at year-end, partner with Labor to assist with negotiation issues, and miscellaneous reporting
+ Complete testing of system enhancements (systematic and regulatory)
+ Triage Payroll tickets to team members using our HR ticketing system and audit tickets weekly to ensure SLA is met
+ Ensure Payroll tier 1 work in the HR ticketing system is efficient and accurate
+ Assist with W-2 processing efforts
+ Invoice requests for payroll team and submit to Accounts Payable for processing
+ Proactively provide administrative support related to other HR tasks and contribute to the team goals
+ Other functions as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
+ High School Diploma
+ Working knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures or the equivalent in training and experience
+ Experience working with large database software programs performing data entry or processing standardized forms
+ Working knowledge of personal computers and related software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel such as: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and complex equations
+ Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
+ Experience investigating and resolving customer problems and concerns
