Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

+ Follow all Company safety, ISO, and GMP policies

+ Documentation and coordination of all Hold Products including Return Area and/or Reject areas using QA Hold Procedures and QAN database

+ Inventory Control of Reject and/or Return Products releasing to warehouse and performing the correct inventory transaction within JDE system

+ Track pallets to have additional product pulled when non-conformances are found

+ Conduct Warehouse audit as needed

+ Inspect lines for product and packaging for compliance to specifications

+ Provide guidance to Quality Auditors on packaging and scheduling issues

+ Provide input on performance evaluations for Quality Auditors

+ Input testing results in Quality database or spreadsheet

+ Run labels when needed for Production

+ Inform Shift Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Quality Assurance Manager of any problems with production or packaging

+ Assist in the disposition of non-conforming product in the Reject and/or Return area

+ Communicate any issues found during assigned shift to the relief shift

+ Communicate quality issues in monthly shift meetings

+ Maintain housekeeping and other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager; including job duties from current position to entry level positions

+ Perform other testing as needed

+ Coordinate the training of the Quality Auditors and new Production Employees.

+ Other duties may be assigned.

Other Skills and Abilities

+ Knowledge in performing quality testing on product

+ Ability to operate office equipment and personal computer

+ Ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack

+ Ability to operate all lab equipment

+ Ability to enter test results into the computer

+ Ability to communicate effectively with employees

Language skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and order forms or checklists. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers, or before groups of co-workers.

Mathematical skills:

Ability to perform basic mathematical concepts including ability to read tape measure, determine percentages, compute rate, ration and percent, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning skills:

Ability to solve practical problems and overcome barriers. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.


Qualification Requirements

Experience in a Quality Assurance Department or Quality Inspector role. In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
