+ Succeed as a TeamPOSITION SUMMARY In this highly visible and exciting role, the Sr. Manager of Revenue will be a key player in all issues related to the accounting, reporting, and analysis of revenue. This position will be a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on ASC 606 for the sales, finance, accounting and legal teams. The ideal candidate will be self- motivated, results oriented, collaborative and excellent at communication. The position will report to the Revenue & Operations Controller and will lead all aspects of revenue accounting. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close and reporting activities, including, but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis, technical accounting memos, and whitepapers to support timely and accurate revenue recognition and reporting
+ Work with cross-functional groups to ensure revenue implication of customer contracts are understood and align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with revenue recognition accounting requirements
+ Manage 1-2 revenue accountants providing training and career development
+ Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors for revenue process including control testing, quarterly reviews and annual audit of financial statements.
+ Implement new and improve existing processes and controls related to revenue accounting and in accordance with revenue policies per ASC 606.
+ Advise on accounting implications of non-standard contract language
+ Work closely with the FP&A and sales department to support monthly and quarterly forecasts and actuals reporting / variance analyses for multiple customer contracts.
+ Provide periodic training for sales and finance teamsDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
+ 10+ years combined Big 4 and/ or Industry Finance Experience
+ Demonstrated skill in ASC 606 and SOX accounting standards
+ Ability to work in cross functional teams to build relationships and achieve common goals
+ Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment where adaptability is a cornerstone to success
+ Ability to distill complex accounting standards into easily understood financial models
+ Experience with construction revenue is a plusEDUCATION
