Working directly with Flexential’s People & Culture (HR) team and cross-functional professionals, this role will serve as a key player on driving and supporting Human Resources initiatives. While this role will support work across the P&C function, a primary focus will be on culture and employee engagement. This inclusive, can-do culture champion will support key projects, and act as the cornerstone for employee engagement events. The HR Assistant will help drive and measure success in the areas of Employee Engagement, Culture, Wellness and other special projects assigned to People & Culture.
The individual should display a genuine drive for supporting the overall team, thoughtfulness, and an energetic candor when sharing their own ideas.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and wear multiple hats. Must be flexible to shift priorities as needed.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Culture and Engagement: As a member of the People & Culture team, be a driver of employee engagement and champion of culture. Foster relationships with key employees in each location to deepen the team’s understanding of specific challenges and preferences.
Growth Mindset: Peruse opportunities to maintain or enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks. Continually seek other ways to support the organization.
+ Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills
+ Experience related to any of the following: human resources, event coordination, project management
+ Intermediate MS Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Outlook
+ Effective and enthusiastic communicator
+ Must be able to work independently
+ Highschool diploma or equivalent
+ Able to work independently and report progress and results to a team.
+ Excellent project management skills.
+ Positive professional attitude, team player, capable of working well with a vast array of employees and applicants.
+ Tech-savvy and resourceful.
+ Able to multitask and prioritize well.
+ 1-3 years’ experience on a Human Resource/Culture team
+ Experience with expense reporting (Concur), and Purchase Orders (NetSuite)
Base Pay Range: The hourly salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $20.00-$24.00 an hour , however, the actual pay range depends each candidate’s experience, location and qualifications.
