Responsible for the overall operations of the Surgical services. Responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, organizing, directing the schedules and staff assignments. Participates in marketing of Perioperative services. Maintains open communication and transparency. Responsible for managing/overseeing the care and services provided by ancillary and other professional personnel. Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with physicians, leadership and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the care of the patient.
Experience: Three years' in a specialty surgical service required. Must demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills. Use of desktop computers, copiers, general office and patient care equipment.
Required Education: Graduate of accredited nursing school. RN License in the state of AR.
Preferred Education: BSN
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications- upon hire or complete training during the orientation period. Required certifications must be current before being assigned to care for patients independently.
