Department's Website:https://research.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The Postdoctoral Fellow is a researcher for the Materials Research Group of Professor's Salamo and Yu and is responsible for the using x-ray and other characterization tools and corresponding detail modeling. This position is responsible for training and overseeing the activities of research students and to carry out and publish papers and prepare proposals. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position also require the person to be able to lead and carry out independent researchQualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Ph.D. in physics, material science, or engineering

 

Experience with x-ray analysis of crystals and quantum materials

 

Experience in modeling the behavior of nanoscale mixed crystal systems

 

Experience with both optical and electrical characterization

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

At least three years of experience with x-ray spectroscopy and optical characterization techniques

 

Salary Information:$50,000.00
