Job Summary:

This role will help implement the technology direction and strategies that will enable DevOps and hybrid cloud technology adoption. This includes designing, developing, and implement continuous integration, testing, and deliver pipelines and orchestrations that scale to help deliver hundreds of advisor applications. This role will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and programming languages to provide a repeatable catalog of secure platform services including virtualized and container hosted services.


  • Research and recommend innovative technologies and approaches for private and public cloud infrastructure management, upgrades, or improvements, while adhering to technical or budgetary constraints.
  • Proactively plan capacity monitoring and scaling of platforms and applications.
  • Obtain and evaluates information on factors such as costs, performance, and security to determine solution patterns and services.
  • Participates in software system programming, validation, deployment, and documentation.
  • May lead projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy, and delivering results on time.
  • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.
  • May occasionally work a non-standard schedule including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.




  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience or combination or education, experience and training
  • Minimum of 2 years of AWS experience
  • Experience writing in multiple coding languages (Python, Go, Bash, Groovy, etc.)
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines or Stack Orchestration processes
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Cloud Formation, Terraform, etc.)
  • Experience with Git based source code management tools
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum planning tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux administration, particularly, Ubuntu Server, Red Hat, and CentOS
  • Advanced knowledge of on-premises and/or cloud-based networking, firewalls, and network security


  • Experience with cloud-native solution architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray
  • Experience with middleware products (Apache HTTP, NGINX, JBoss EAP, Spring Boot, IIS, etc.)
  • Experience with cache and search products (Redis, Ignite, Solr, Elasticsearch, etc.)
  • Experience with blue/green deployments
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Monitoring / APM tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, etc.)


  • AWS Certifications preferred
