NSK Steering Systems America (NSSA) is a worldwide leader in steering system technology, proudly supplying the North America automotive industry. Our Dyersburg, TN location is looking for an experienced Health & Benefit Coordinator.

The NSSA Health & Benefit Coordinator will provide assistance in medical emergencies and manage NSK’s workers’ compensation program to include medical case management. The Health & Benefit Coordinator manages the benefit & wellness programs, First Aid Room, FMLA/STD/LTD leaves of absence (vendor), TN Drug Free Workplace program, Ergonomic program (HumanTech) and OSHA log for a plant employee base of 300 to 350. This is a salary exempt position that does not manage the work of others and mainly works a M-F day schedule however, must be flexible during annual events such as wellness screenings & open enrollment.

+ Responds to and treats medical emergencies, first aid. Occasionally on an off shift (outside normal business hours 24/7 facility) as necessary.

+ Provides medical case management of workers’ compensation claims, medical treatment, billing, reports and attends monthly Corporate Skype meetings.

+ Prepares all workers’ compensation reports, OSHA records and workers compensation claim processing.

+ Conducts new hire “benefit” orientation and coordinates full time associate benefits such as: Medical Insurance/records, status changes, Short and Long Term Disability, FMLA, Sickness & Accident, Life Insurance, Dental & Vision Insurance

+ Coordinates and manages Annual Benefit Open Enrollment process along with Wellness program to include screenings

+ Maintains Leave (FMLA, STD, LTD and Covid-19) Log/Trackers (Databases)

+ Participates in safety committee/accident prevention committee.

+ Rewrites policies and procedures for health related OSHA requirements, procedures and training.

+ Addresses employee health concerns.

+ Manages Tennessee Drug Free Workplace Program, overall health and wellness program, safety shoe program, first aid supplies and equipment.

+ Responds to employee problems, issues and concerns, may refer elsewhere for further information/recommendations.

This job requires:

+ A minimum of a Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in a related field (Licensed Practical Nurse); prefer Bachelor’s Degree (Registered Nurse)

+ 4 to 6 years of position-related experience

+ Benefit administration experience required

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

+ Strong organizational skills (time management)

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Sit/stand frequently throughout the work day, walk the production floor & wear required PPE (steel toe shoes)

+ Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at a time; occasional lifting up to 30lbs and bending/stooping
