Frito-Lay Receivers are responsible for a variety of inventory duties. A key component of PepsiCo's success, Frito-Lay has been making the very best snacks for over 80 years. Classic Lay's(R), Cheetos(R), and Doritos(R) are just a few of the products that you would help us produce in one of our manufacturing facilities. Although you will start out working for Frito-Lay, this job can open the door to career opportunities with our parent company, PepsiCo. OBJECTIVE: Unload film, seasoning and other bulk materials (not including oil, corn, or potatoes), perform physical inventories of all roll stock and ingredients every week and support production with raw material needs to the floor. Backfill scheduled time off for other members of Core Receiving as needed. This can include working days off and/or reporting to work early or staying late. Normal schedules for the Core Receiving Tech role are 1st shift 8am-4pm, 2nd shift 4pm-12am, 3rd shift 12 am-8am, and one 3rd shift Part Time role: Saturday 12a-6a, Sunday 12a-12p, and Monday 12a-12p.
GENERAL DUTIES OF CORE RECEIVING TECH:
Understand and execute film swaps and business proposals (BPs). Counting inventory for both film and seasoning, and other materials as determined by mgmt.
- Perform dual count inventories per/period, in accordance with SAG/SOX requirements.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Responsible for updating film placards, inventory sheets, etc.
- Fill pick faces for production and set up seasonings
- May also need to move seasoning and film from the racking to count.
- Responsible for returning seasoning from OMS production and putting it away.
- Unload trucks with film, seasoning, etc. as needed. Must maintain PIT license.
- Must maintain sanitary work area to include compliance with all AIB protocols. PSM Audits.
- Other duties as needed. Here is a list of frequent tasks you could expect to perform during the course of the workday:
Collect empty pallet boards and carry them to storage, Safely operate a forklift after we provide you training and you obtain certification, Receive and distribute product and perform weekly product inventory, General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc.) Lift objects that weigh anywhere between 15 pounds and 50 pounds (i.e. anything from a bowling ball to a twin-size mattress) with or without a reasonable accommodation
While prior Receiving knowledge is always a plus, we are happy to provide thorough training on OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) regulations
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to demonstrate the following*: Cannot hold a temp transfer or other backfill. Must demonstrate initiative to complete duties with little supervision Must be able to grasp M.I.M. theory and inventory theory (i.e. beginning inventory and purchases and transfers (in/out) = produced + waste = ending inventory). Must understand SAG/SOX responsibility Become licensed forklift operator. Demonstrate good communication skills (both oral and written). Computer skills to include all Fritos Lay based systems and familiarity with Windows program. Ability to multi task and prioritize. Ability to escalate findings and seek resolution. ;Forklift experience preferred We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule.
