Position is responsible for the overall management of selected national healthcare and education group customers. Development of strategy, execution of strategies and tactics, customer headquarters relationships, coordination of field and operation activities in support of these relationships are all critical elements of the position.

In addition, this position will work closely with Revenue Management and Business Analytics teams across the organization to driving the development and alignment of key performance metrics reporting and developing and implementing necessary support material to drive effectiveness of reporting.

This position is virtual which means the work can be completed 100% remote and work from anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.

Provide appropriate communication/education to all field management, sales personnel and headquarter staff to assure understanding of contract elements and service excellence for all GPO members and regional customers assigned to the individual.

Develop and execute strategies and tactics that will drive results and strengthen customer business relationships by understanding and responding to customer and market strategic requirements.

In accordance with contract parameters, track performance and develop action plans to achieve planned performance targets for each assigned customer or customer group, including sales and profitability management.

Develop customer relationships at the headquarters level and with key customers/health systems field management at the local level. Act as the single point of contact and coordination for all major customer issues and contractual requirements for assigned portfolio of customers.

Designs and develops financial and quantitative analysis aimed at garnering critical answers to growing sales, product alignment, and profitability. The Director will assert a keen understanding of the analysis, providing this analysis in a timely and accurate manner on a consistent and ad hoc basis. Will serve as subject matter expert and coach to effectively relay analytical findings to stakeholders and advise on impact.

Develop analytical models, forecasts and other quantitative inputs into effective, meaningful and relevant presentations, facilitating and presenting findings and recommendations across the organization, up to and including the executive leadership team.

Relationships:

Internal:

Broad based at the USF headquarters and local levels , including shared support functions such as NASR contact, contract maintenance, revenue management, category management, pricing maintenance, national credit, and CASS controls and compliance. In the field, this person will interface with Region Presidents, Division Presidents, Vice Presidents of Sales and Healthcare Managers.

External:

Customers at the following levels: facility, regional, and key leaders at customer headquarters. Manage third party (GPO, management company, etc) counterparts and leads, as appropriate in management of customer contract.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Sales & Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required. Bachelor Degree preferred.

Related Experience: A minimum of five years foodservice distribution experience; three years healthcare and five years customer interfacing experience required. A minimum of two years experience/exposure to regional or national multi-location customers on contracts and minimum of two years of sales management experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills within a complex matrix – relationship builder and effective at driving results on behalf of the customer and the company. Possesses strategic thinking and problem resolution skills. Must have the ability to see beyond the immediate to identify potential and risk, as well as, business development opportunities. Demonstrates strong business acumen and possesses business maturity based upon common sense. Excellent oral/written communication skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft programs that enable effective, professional communication and analysis (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Must be well organized with strong follow through people management skills from a headquarters staff position platform.

The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and lead special projects from end to end, as well as to assert keen quantitative and analytical ability when addressing the needs of a situation. Requires advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint SQL and Tableau.

Budgeted Max salary range may either be listed): The following information is provided in accordance with the Colorado Pay Equity Act. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $ 90,300.00 and $ 115,400.
