3 South is an 18 bed-unit in which the Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for patients admitted for general cardiac diagnoses as well as sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, and stroke. The RN also cares for patients requiring antiarrhythmic non-titrated drips. The patient population served tends to have multiple diagnoses requiring the RN to work closely with all of our Cardiologists as well as our Hospitalists to provide comprehensive care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
• Registered Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas required. Licensed for less than 6 months
• BSN preferred, required within four years of hire
• Certification Preferred
• Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education
• Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
• Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED PRIOR TO INDEPENDENCE FROM PRECEPTOR:
+ Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
+ Computer-Assisted Self-Directed New Employee Orientation
+ Successful completion of Point of Care Testing Equipment Orientation
+ Successful completion of Meditech Information System Orientation
+ Other qualifications required by the specific job description
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF ORIENTATION:
+ Successful demonstration of clinical equipment appropriate to department
+ Successful completion of orientation skills checklist
+ Attendance at New Employee Orientation classroom program
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETEION OF NURSE RESIDENCY:
+ Satisfactory completion of CRMC Nurse Residency program including attendance and participation in classroom activities and projects.
+ Successful progression through the six-month mentoring program.
