The primary function of the LTL Operations Analyst is to develop and execute effective and efficient processes in support of LTL operations. In addition, this position will be responsible for the support, management and deployment (including training) of technology solutions in support of BNSF Logistics LTL operations.
A highly effective LTL Operations Analyst has a broad knowledge of OTR trucking operations, specifically Less than Truckload (LTL) services and is able to leverage this knowledge and experience to support business development and account management activities in furtherance of business goals.
To assist in streamlining the backend process for the LTL Product line.
Carrier procedure development to ensure alignment between BNSF Logistics and our service providers.
Maintain the audit issues ensuring they are addressed in a timely fashion, while assisting in training others to help with process.
Handle all disputes with carriers' W & I teams, including procedures to shrink number of disputes.
Work with AM/Agents, BM's on their participating in audit processes.
Primary contact between BNSF Payable group and carrier to ensure procedural promptness.
Frontline contact for the operational users regarding issues with carriers.
Monitor carrier Rules Tariff updates and assist with updates to TMS where appropriate.
Assist LTL Product Manager in developing new ideas to drive operational efficiency.
Participate in the development of new processes or best practices for internal efficiency.
Report status on assigned tasks to LTL Product Manager.
To assist in creating and maintaining LTL customer portal processes for portal setup, and training for both internal teams, as well as customers.
To assist with creation and managing of internal portal reporting, portal enhancements, and all customer requested changes to be considered for implementation.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
