At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Cyber Engineering Manager supporting various customers, you will be trusted to work on providing technical, administrative, and operation management oversight of cyber engineering across multiple contracts . This role will be worked remotely.

In this role, a typical day will include the responsibilities below:

Operational Leadership:

+ Leads all aspects of the cyber team including design, engineering, implementation, and operations for TSS services

+ Partners with senior management and TSS IT personnel to ensure business alignment

+ Directs a large number of complex security initiatives across multiple locations

+ Leads, develops, and mentors a team of cyber engineers

+ Determines workforce planning needs, strategies for upskilling/cross-skilling and identifies succession planning for the team

+ Continuously monitors KPIs and utilization for ensuring IT Service Management

Business Management:

+ Consults with consumers to assess and anticipate current and future requirements and develops a long-term action plan

+ Collaborates broadly to support internal and external customer business development activities to include request for information (RFI), request for proposals (RFP), customer visits, notional scheduling, and rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates

+ Partners with stakeholders to continually optimize the governance and decision-making processes

+ Manages budget and makes informed and dynamic investment prioritization decisions

Technology Management:

+ Participates in leading industry forums to represent TSS business interests and supports development of customer-centric business solutions

+ Keeps abreast with evolving threats/risks, industry trends and works to implement best practices in the organization

+ Coordinates with applicable stakeholders to align roadmaps, avoid duplication, and identify inter-dependencies

+ Defines, tracks, and communicates specific KPIs to improve adoption and guide continuous improvement efforts

Business Transformation:

+ Serves as a point of contact for cyber and works closely with Ent IT business relationship managers and other functional leads, as required

+ Collaborates with business partners to transition Ent IT or business-led technology experiments to the TSS teams for scaling, wherever feasible

+ Recommends business process changes for better adoption of services

+ Identifies and evangelizes business and technology trends that can improve business outcomes

Required qualifications:

+ Over five years of experience in cyber security and IT service delivery management and a BA/BS degree in management information systems, computer science, engineering, business administration, or related discipline

+ Experience in IT service delivery via KPIs, strategic planning, budgeting, and allocation

+ Ability to achieve up to a DOD Top Secret Clearance, and program specific clearances

+ An ability to motivate and manage a team of staff supporting the organization’s goals

+ An ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of enterprise and GDIT customer/program stakeholders

+ A well-developed understanding of and appreciation for business needs and a commitment to leading his/her team in delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business

+ An understanding of and appreciation for Technology Shared Services organizational mission, values, and goals and consistent application of this knowledge

+ Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one

+ An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner

+ A working knowledge of the following areas of technical expertise: cyber operations, cyber engineering, cyber intelligence, ITIL and IT Service Management, organizational change management, and IT financial management

Preferred qualifications:

+ Industry specific certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA and/or CRISC are a plus
