We have an excellent opportunity for an Intern – Engineering (Chem Lab) for Summer 2022 at our Camden, AR location.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
The intern will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with Aerojet Rocketdyne projects.
Under direct supervision, the intern performs professional work following a set of policies and procedures for guidance.
This position requires some professional judgment and a limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts.
Performs chemical analyses, routine syntheses, tests, and experiments where procedures are well established.
Completes documentation and writes test reports to document findings.
Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September.
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a B.S. degree program in Chemistry (or similar major) OR enrolled in an advanced degree program in related major, and returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
3.2 GPA or above
Junior standing or above
Working knowledge of typical Microsoft software applications
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction
Solid academic track record of accomplishment
Leadership & teamwork skills
Technical and analytical abilities

These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
