Graphic Designer II

Proposed Minimum Salary
The graphic designer will be responsible for creating, implementing and leading graphic production for Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
+ Develops and executes all promotion pieces to support the annual and long range multi-faceted marketing and recruitment plans.
+ Conceptualizes, designs and produces dynamic promotional pieces (magazines, brochures, posters and advancement literature) to promote the university’s mission and initiatives consistent with the branding guidelines.
+ Works with website content management team to maintain the university website with updated graphics and photos.
+ Provides graphic expertise and vision to design fundraising materials.
+ Proactively researches design and technological trends to insure the university’s publications, website and social media are effective in reaching target audiences.
+ Monitors for errors during production stages and is responsible for the quality of final products.
+ Works efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Assists with special events to support university programs and scholarships.
+ Performs other related duties necessary to recruit students and market the university.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of related experience in graphics design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing or related design field.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Experience in design and production of print media and digital
+ Experience working with InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator
+ Experience utilizing a Macintosh operating system
+ Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work well with a variety of personnel
+ Portfolio of previous work required at interview
+ Experience in graphic production/utilization for web publication
