The Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in Accounting is responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of Accounting courses in the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology (CBET). The successful candidate will possess documented capability in teaching, scholarship, and services, and will be expected to foster the growth of first-rate Accounting courses, including building on existing strengths within the College and through collaboration with other faculty in CBET. A successful candidate will also be responsible for addressing student needs in Accounting and assist the Dean in the implementation of short and long term goals of the College.

Responsibilities for the position
+ Teach assigned courses and laboratories
+ Perform scholarly activities
+ Work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines
+ Contribute to curriculum and course development
+ Serve on department, college and university committees assigned by the Dean
+ Serve on professional committees as approved by the Dean
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
+ Ability to teach various courses within our BBA and MSA degrees in Accounting
+ A passion and patience for teaching students foundational Accounting
+ A terminal degree in Accounting or related field; degrees in closely related fields must meet SACSCOC standards to teach accounting courses
+ Research potential, desire, and capability is a requirement for this position
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
+ Terminal degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or related field
+ Experience in teaching upper or lower division courses utilizing current supporting technologies at the university level
+ Familiarity with accreditation processes (e.g. SACSCOC, ABET, etc.) and assessment, including data collection, organization, and analysis.
