Job Title: *Senior Planner, Customer Replenishment(Amplify Snack Brands)* * Job Location: Bentonville, Arkansas* * Summary:* On-site in Bentonville, AR, this position is accountable for the following: * Manage the Wal-Mart & Sam’s Amplify business segment and lead the relationship with the Walmart and/or Sam’s Replenishment Manager, Sales team & Walmart and/or Sam’s Buyer in regular weekly supply chain related discussions including 3rd party distributors where appropriate. * Manage key supply chain activities with a focus on delivering measurable results and interaction with key supply chain decision makers. Align supply chain tactical and strategic imperatives. Define short and long-term supply chain vision and implement strategies to both achieve that vision and constantly refine it based on changing customer requirements, business conditions, new technology, etc. * Maximize selling opportunities. Where appropriate, utilize retail data and insights to drive incremental sales, including on shelf availability, promotion and seasonal execution, and new item launches. Through detailed understanding of customer forecasts and distribution network configuration and practices, assist Sales and Category Strategy and Insights to promote proper volume allocation and timing of inventory * Forecasting managed at the item-store level within Wal-Mart Retail Link tool to identify exceptions and implement corrective actions which consider multiple factors such as in-stock percentage, promotion activity, seasonality, point of sale trends, de-seasonalized demand, and inventory. This includes periodic proactive analysis of item selling patterns and the development of productive relationships with the Wal-Mart and/or Sam’s Replenishment Managers in order to execute required forecast changes. These changes must be effectively communicated to internal Sales and Operations Planning contacts in order to maximize production efficiency and supportability. * Establishing, and monitoring progress against, key milestones in the life cycle for all promotion events, modular transitions, and item changes. This involves careful planning, coordination, and communication among multiple functional areas, including Customer Marketing, Research and Development, Packaging, Finance, Sales, Category Development, Sales and Operations Planning, and Customer Service. By leading regular multi-function meetings, the person in this role must quickly identify potential problems, implement corrective actions, and update all affected parties with urgency in order to protect customer on-shelf commitments. * Lead special projects for the Amplify Company and customer initiatives. Through customer interaction and regular benchmarking, develop and maintain a focus on customer’s strategic direction in order to educate and prepare internal constituents and actively participate in strategic programs when there is a demonstrated benefit to the total supply chain * Key Responsibilities:* * Manage the relationships with the Walmart replenishment manager and/or Sam’s and 3rd party distributors through regular structured communication including weekly reporting of key performance measures to all partners. * Lead formal internal and external meetings and events to manage peer relationships and facilitate business planning. * Monitor performance against key supply chain metrics such as case fill, in-stock, and inventory and drive corrective actions. Identify, implement, and communicate forecast changes by exception to internal Amplify supply, 3rd party distributor and Walmart and/or Sam’s replenishment * Forecast and communicate modular changes of; new items, distribution changes and deleted items. Partner with sales team, Walmart replenishment, 3rd party distributor and demand planning to ensure that the items / quantities and timing are aligned with all stakeholders to meeting agreed upon expectations. * Manage the product life cycle for all promotion events, seasonal item forecast changes, and Amplify initiated item changes. * Qualifications:* * Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills * Demonstrated ability to lead teams with minimal supervision * Exceptional oral and written communication skills * Ability to negotiate effectively with internal and customer partners at all levels * Proficient understanding of fundamental business management and supply chain principles and concepts * Global systems thinking – understands complex interaction of processes, information systems, and organizations * Thorough grasp of key internal and customer forecasting, order generation, and order fulfillment processes * Strong project management skills & ability to lead multi-functional project teams * Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications * Strong working knowledge in SAP systems and tools * Ability to maintain focus on Amplify goals and improvements, while working on-site at the customer * Ability to present complex solution in an executive summary * Disposition to engage with customer at all levels of their organization (replenishment analyst to SVP * Education:* * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years experience * Experience:* * Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Supply Chain or related function #LI-MB1 Amplify Snack Brands, a division of The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
