The Role

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing assigned projects to meet scope, timing, and budget expectations and overall project outcomes. This role understands and can participate in or lead sessions for Service Delivery projects and programs, and support functions to optimize business operations

The Main Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

+ Leads revenue accelerating initiatives and Provisioning projects that are intermediate in complexity

+ Has the authority to drive work and escalate to leaders of the company

+ Assists with removing operational roadblocks

+ Uses creative approach in negotiating & problem solving

+ Creates concise, but effective presentations and communications to be presented to executive leaders

+ Analyzes team performance indicators / current performance and provides input for course correction

+ Ensures operational readiness of Provisioning teams

+ Participates in benefits analyses and provides input

+ Offers input to budgets and financial models, including unit cost analysis

+ Uses Lean principles to standardize business capabilities across teams

+ Participates in executive level briefings, and communicates with executive level positions

+ Assesses and helps to manage impact to budgets and financial models

+ Uses outcome-focused project management to achieve desired results

+ Coordinates interactions with key stakeholders

+ Selects appropriate processes to effectively drive initiatives

+ Develops, maintains, and manages the project plan and timeline to meet project objectives

+ Ensures the project team remains within scope

+ Identifies dependencies between activities, and analyzes project risks and assumptions

+ Coordinates activities, delegates actions to appropriate project team members, and tracks deliverables

+ Focuses on what is best for the needs of the customer and company

+ Understands upstream and downstream implications and dependencies

What We Look for in a Candidate


+ BS/BA or equivalent demonstrated expertise in project management, technical management, operations management, or related field

+ Ability to be versatile when presenting to various audiences – including executives

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

+ Has previous process improvement experience

+ Data and Information management experience

+ Ability to translate technical concepts into everyday language

+ Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio and MS Project or equivalent software.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 2-4 years project management or related exp in the Technology Industry

+ PMP Certified or Six Sigma Certifications

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
