Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.
The Senior Engineer will provide guidance and direction in managing the technical aspects of engineering-related structures at the South-Central VA Healthcare Network.
This position can be done remotely as it is providing reach-back support to Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, Alexandria, LA, Shreveport, LA, Jackson, MS, Biloxi, MS, Little Rock, AR (McClellan and Towbin Hospitals) and Fayetteville, AR areas.
This is contingent on the award of the contract.
+ Onsite and remote support at the assigned medical center
+ Responsible for the overall management of technical quality, cost and schedule
+ Review all contract changes and recommend course of action
+ Retain financial records and budget information related on the projects
+ Report and provide progress updates
+ Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed
Qualifications To be successful in the role:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
+ 10 years in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, safety, etc.) and construction management of buildings and structures
+ Familiar with scheduling, cost estimating, and overall design integration is necessary strong knowledge of construction documents, as well as superior management and communication skills
+ Outstanding organizational skills, attention-to-detail and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines
+ Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide insight and opinions to the team
+ Professionalism, personal initiative and demonstrated good judgment
+ Outstanding organizational skills, attention-to-detail and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under constant pressure
+ Skill in applying complex fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods and techniques
+ Skilled in written and oral communications sufficient to prepare and present findings and recommendations, develop and present briefings/training, and prepare technical reports.
+ Able to multi-task to work simultaneous projects.
+ US citizen and able to acquire a government security clearance
+ Willing to travel as necessary
