Job Description


Accommodate hotel, patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting, and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making, and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests. Provide information to GM and co-workers by telephone, in written form, email, or in person. Train and oversee staff members.



Greet customers, patrons, or visitors.

Report maintenance or equipment problems to appropriate personnel.

Distribute materials to employees or customers.

Discuss account status or activity with customers or patrons.

Refer customers to appropriate personnel.

Collect deposits, payments, or fees.



Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computers is required to check in guests, create invoices and manage online bookings.

Communication: Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills are important as the hotel Front Desk Supervisor will use these skills to identify a guest’s satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their stay.

Customer Service: Customer service skills are a requirement as a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor. Front Desk Supervisors work with guests when checking in, checking out and when guests request information for the front desk.

Problem Solving: Guest often come to the Hotel Front Desk with problems. The ability to identify & overcome a problem can be useful in this role.
