Brookshire Grocery Arena 2000 Brookshire Arena Dr. Bossier City, LA 71112 POSITION: Housekeeping Manager DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Director of Operations FLSA STATUS: Salary/Full-Time/Exempt Summary ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a working Housekeeping Manager at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana. The working Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for the overall housekeeping services in the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Conduct all cleaning duties, including sweeping and vacuuming carpets, sweeping, mopping and waxing floors, trash pickup and removal, cleaning toilets and urinals, cleaning and shining mirrors, cleaning walls, and trash cans, cleaning arena seats, dusting furniture, etc. * Control of housekeeping equipment, including but not limited to brooms, mops, buckets and wringer, toilet brushes, garbage bags, push brooms, cleaning cloths, gloves, mask and cleaning solutions, etc. * Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc. * Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpets. * Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment. * Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed * Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of equipment. * All other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Must successfully pass a driving record and criminal background check * Must be at least 18 years of age * Excellent customer service skills * Physical capability to lift, push up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, climb stairs and work at heights up to 21 stories, operate cleaning equipment as required. The position is often exposed to adverse conditions such as fumes, dust, noise, wet floors, etc. * Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours * Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Education and/or Experience * High School diploma or equivalent * 1-2 years janitorial/custodial experience required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations * Must possess a valid United States Driver’s License at time of appointment and throughout employment * Skills Have essential capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing and innovation. * Knowledge — of the methods, tools, materials and equipment; applicable safety codes and regulations. * Communication Skills — good oral, written and listening skills; pays close attention to details. * Customer Focus — dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; establishes and maintains effective relationships while gaining their trust and respect. * Organizational Skills — uses resources and time effectively and efficiently. * Problem Solving — solves problems with effective solutions. * Teamwork — creates strong morale and spirit within the team; deals effectively and tactfully with departmental personnel and the public.
