We are currently hiring experienced Respiratory Therapists to work our In House Contract positions (13-week commitment). We are offering a rate of $80.00/hour. Job Summary: The Respiratory Therapist participates in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Therapists are responsible for the initiation and management of Life Support Systems under the direction of the physician. The RT may perform all tasks included in their license practice act within department guidelines and policies. The RT must function with limited supervision, relying on their education and the guidance of the physician and supervisory staff. Description Minimum Required Experience One year experience in acute care setting Education Associates Degree or equivalent (10 Years’ experience as licensed therapist substituted for Associates Degree) Training Graduate of AMA approved program. BLS Certification Special Skills Successful completion of the National Certification exam administered by the NBRC. Licensure Successful completion of either the Certified or Registered exams administered by the NBRC. Current NBRC required. Current Louisiana State License or permit issued by LSBME and BLS certification
