Assists in the day-to-day administrative functions of the nursing administration department. Consults with chief nurse executive, physicians, clinical directors, and charge nurses on nursing problems and interpretation/application of hospital and nursing services policies and procedures to ensure patient and staff needs are met. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement and CQI activities within the department. Participates in maintaining department budget. Oversees and participates in staff scheduling processes. Performs administrative and department head duties in their absence. Is responsible for monitoring, supervising and evaluating nursing supervisor activities and performance.
Experience: A minimum of two years nursing clinical and leadership experience.
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; advanced nursing education preferred.
Preferred Education: BSN/MSN
Certifications: Certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation; certification in ACLS is preferred.
