The Student Employee assists the pharmacy service with patient outreach, prescription fulfillment and prior authorizations for patients enrolled in the patient management program. This position is an educational training position for pharmacy students. This position can be utilized in Outpatient Pharmacy, Specialty and Retail.

Concierge prescription delivery on the main campus when using UAMS pharmacy.
Salary offered commensurate with experience. Student positions are not eligible for benefits.
Accurately fills orders and complies with all the requirements of URAC accreditation.
Responsible for pharmacy medications and office supplies, mailing of patient's medications and assisting patient/other hospital employees with medication refills.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with patients, caregivers and providers.
Packages shipments appropriately for room temperature and cold chain shipments.
Processes prior authorizations for specialty medications in a timely manner.
Calculates medication possession ratio to correctly determine patient need.
Documents in the electronic medical record in a profession and accurate manner.
Manages the patient calendars accurately.
Claims adjudication and resolution.
Financial assistance for specialty medications.
Must be enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy.
Must hold pharmacy intern licensure/certification or be eligible for registration as a pharmacy intern by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy.
