We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for ourSolid Rocket Motor Productionarea. This position will be located at our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas .

In this role, you will function asthe Production Subject Matter Expert on all projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group and results are typically accomplished through experienced exempt employees.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

20% Manager New Product Process Development in support of new and changing programs in the Camden portfolio. This includes the develop of detailed work instructions, design of manufacturing sequence, development of tooling required to support production, and establishing Advanced Product Quality Planning governance techniques to assure timely implementation and best processes are implemented to support safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.

20% ManageManufacturingEngineering and Continuous Improvement activitiessupporting the programs assigned, this includes: Implementation of new product lines and facilities, BOM and MRP routing development, develop preliminary manufacturing plans for DOD programs, implement lean manufacturing principles into all product lines, facilitate team projects to improve product flow.

20% Provide support for Special Initiatives group across the organization to lead/facilitate initiatives to improve the company’s overall performance. Focus areas on product flow, enterprise wide affordability initiatives, business systems, facility consolidation, and facility efficiency.

10% Provide direction to direct report engineering staff based on general policies and management guidance, recommend modifications to operating policies, and interpret and execute policies the typically affect direct report organizational groups.

10% Provide assistance to direct reports in meeting established schedules and to resolve complex technical or operational problems, and supervise engineering or analysis activities, developing new concepts, methods or technologies.

10% Plans for and executes budgets for the effective operation of the supervised group.

10% Provide assistance for cost estimating and proposal efforts for new and existing business, and assist with cost analysis for program make/buy decisions.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
