Description/Job Summary This position will report to the Bank Secrecy Act Officer with input from the SVP of Retail Banking, and the SVP of Deposit Operations. The job will primarily support the Bank’s BSA Operation (50%) with remaining time spent performing duties in Deposit Operations or Retail Banking (Teller/CSR duties). Responsibilities/Duties BSA Assistant: Assist the BSA Officer with overseeing all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) program management. Help to install, configure, manage, and use the Bank’s BSA Fraud Detection Program. Ensure the maintenance of accurate and complete records on the Bank’s high risk customers including documentation of enhanced monitoring. Other BSA duties as needed and directed by the Bank BSA Officer. Retail Assistant: Combination teller and client service representative whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cash handling, helping to build strong customer relationships, cross selling bank products and services, opening/closing deposit accounts and providing superior customer service. Serves customers by completing account transactions. Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits. Completes and processes cashier’s checks and funds transfer requests. Deposit Operations Assistant: Responsible for providing support, service and various internal control functions for the branch staff and customer requests in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner. Perform all processes and procedures of Deposit Operations to facilitate management in improving efficiencies and automate more processes. Perform other duties as needed or directed by the SVP Deposit Operations. Required Qualifications Three years or more experience in retail banking (CSR and Teller or above) or deposit operations. Self-starter with initiative and intellectual curiosity.
