Project Location: T.E. Maxson Plant
Provide administrative and technical support to the project superintendents and project manager. Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned. Provide technical, field, and administrative direction to field personnel Prepare and review submittals Issue construction documents and layout to field crews Prepare and interpret specifications drawings for foreman and superintendents Maintain and edit all field as – built drawings for project Complete requests for information (RFI) Maintain/Update Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reporting Coordinate timely arrival of parts, equipment, construction materials, and installation with field personnel and vendors Assist in developing purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and applications for payment to the client Perform surveying functions and verify final locations and elevations Assist in preparation of required documentation records such as: conforming bid documents from addenda, status reports, Operations and Maintenance manuals, warranties, spare parts, punch lists. Assist with design engineers and labor/subcontractors to determine solutions for unexpected site conditions May attend meetings with Owner, subcontractor and associated project personnel. Develop plan reading and strong visualization skills. Perform standard estimating tasks such as performing quantity take – offs, creating material price lists, and researching labor, material and equipment costs for these take – offs. Learn the Timberline Estimating System Utilize Timberline to assist in preparation of Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction and Design Build Projects Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates Receive, review and file pricing received from CDM Inc. Project Mangers against Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction performed by Estimating Contact subcontractors and suppliers for current pricing Participate in pre – bid job walks Participate in Bid – Day quote tabulations. Prepare Project Controls analysis, spreadsheets, and graphics for routine and non – routine project reporting Gather and update engineering and construction information to reflect most current plans/requirements. Input data for development of a detailed baseline schedules for engineering and construction with projects. Gather data from a variety of sources including CDM Smith management/teams, client, other contractors, etc. Print reports and graphics to providing data for subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems Support routine collection of sub – consultant and contractor schedule and cost submittals. Support and deploys construction technology and virtual design application on project sites. Assists project leadership in managing the modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues. Assists in facilitating solutions through collaboration with the design team and project team via VDC, BIM, and traditional collaboration methods. Review and understand contract specifications, quality plans, design and construction submittals, and drawings. Assist with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used; verifying quality of workmanship, quality of materials used, and compliance with plans, specifications, estimates and applicable codes and regulations. Assists in documenting deficiencies and deviations from plans. Assists in maintaining and updating Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reporting for project sites. Performs other duties as required. Assists in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities on project sites. Communicates concerns or near misses to supervisor.
