Description/Job Summary Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions in a retail environment. Provides basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with the Banks procedures. Responsibilities/Duties * Receives checks and cash for deposit; verifies amount and examines checks for endorsements. * Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and balances. * Enters transactions into computer. Gives customer computer generated receipt. * Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds. * Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift. * Handles cash drawer; ensuring proper control of cash drawer to meet all audit and security policies and procedures. * Processes customer orders for traveler checks, savings bonds, and cashier checks. * Accepts loan payments. * Assist in the daily balancing and processing of ATM * Assist in the verification of deposits in the night depository. * Open checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and IRA * Order checks and deposit tickets. * Sell bank products and services * Handle opening, closing, and maintenance of safe deposit boxes. Responsible for the collection efforts and drilling of pas due safe deposit boxes * Follows all policy and procedures as required. * Communicate with other departments, attend all department meetings, and be an effective team player. * Answers incoming calls with exceptional customer service and processes customer requests correctly, including account inquires, stop payments, check orders, copies of statements, etc. * Work closely with support personnel in researching customer request * Ensure Branch facility is opened and closed according to proper procedures as assigned or needed * Cross-sells and makes referrals to generate new business and additional services, promote bank products, and further establish business relationships. * All other job related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training program. * Good interpersonal communication and computer skills. * Ability to operate standard office equipment such as adding machines and typewriter.
