The Manager of Renewable Energy Asset Management will lead a team of Energy Managers and Analysts whose responsibilities span all issues post contract execution of Facebook’s more than 6,000MW of renewable energy contracts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for leading growing teams, implementing portfolio-level solutions that allow scaling of the team’s impact, taking a portfolio-level view of how to provide visibility to management of a large portfolio, managing large portfolios of renewable energy contracts from project execution to commercial operations, developing robust tracking and reporting processes, forming partnerships and influencing key stakeholders. This position will report directly to the Manager of the Utility Program Management Team. This position is full-time. Travel may be needed occasionally to visit renewable energy projects and attend counterparty meetings.

Required Skills:

1. Manage a growing team of 4+ energy managers and analysts

2. Serve as the ongoing owner for all post-execution responsibilities associated with Facebook’s executed renewable energy contract requirements

3. Develop a portfolio management vision for the renewable energy portfolio and responsibilities including forecasting, reporting, budgeting and portfolio financial and energy performance

4. Build or implement solutions that will increase efficiency of energy managers and analysts and enabling scaling of the portfolio and requisite contract responsibilities

5. Identify areas of additional expertise needed to support the renewable energy portfolio and develop short and long term strategies for how to address these needs

6. Provide guidance and strategic support to the team on contract issues and amendments, responses to counterparty inquiries, contract claims and other issues, as needed

7. Collaborate with internal organizations including sustainability, legal, tax, accounting, procurement operations, and finance to implement process solutions

8. Refine processes and reviews to support decision making, prioritization and track and measure progress across key stakeholders

9. Create and expand on programs to share team learnings across the organization

10. Develop standardized tools and reporting to streamline and coordinate communication of project and performance data and impact to the broader organization and leadership team

11. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10-15% at times)

Minimum Qualifications:

12. Bachelor’s degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar

13. 8+ years work experience with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy intensive industrial or consumer company

14. 5+ years experience in asset management managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar energy supply contracts

15. Experience with Excel and PowerPoint

16. Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, including but not limited to virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data

17. 3+ years of direct people management experience

18. Experience managing information flow and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and leadership

19. Experience training, mentoring, and leading energy professionals, and helping develop team members at different points in their career

20. Experience implementing software solutions across a diverse portfolio of assets

21. Background establishing programmatic approaches to work, supporting teams, and developing cross-functional relationships

22. Self-motivator and experience executing and track tasks

23. Experience leading with principles of accountability, transparency and recognition, with a culture of continuous improvement and learning

24. Proven communication skills, especially achieving alignment across multiple disciplines, and communicating transparently to leadership teams
