The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. We are committed to building a diverse faculty and encourage you to apply.
Teaching and advising undergraduate students, conducting and publishing scholarly research, performing professional and university service. Specialty is open.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Ph.D. in criminal justice or criminology from an accredited institution, or. Earned doctorate in a related field is acceptable with a history of teaching and scholarly publication in criminal justice as the primary scholarly identity. ABD’s may apply with evidence of expected completion by start Fall semester 2021. The juris doctorate as a terminal degree is not acceptable for this position.
+ Ability to teach a range of lower and upper division criminal justice courses.
+ Active research agenda with evidence of scholarly publication potential.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Preparation to teach in one or more of the following areas: Management, Community Corrections, Juvenile Justice, Corrections
+ College teaching experience
+ Experience in web-based Instruction
+ Departmental administration experience
+ Criminal justice agency experience
+ Experience in student recruitment
