Job Description

Job Responsibilities

+ Supports assigned business categories with a long-term spend of $150M+ by interfacing with business units to understand and support assigned spend category requirements by developing unprecedented solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; supports sourcing managers to negotiate new agreements and manage existing relationships with suppliers. May lead negotiations under guidance.

+ Leads key projects, processes, and other duties supporting management with guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

+ Utilizes systems to improve visibility and management of information; effectively manages contracts and supplier performance.

+ Defines opportunities to improve cost and add value by creating complex models and conducting analysis.

+ Conducts research and stays current on category market, business, and technology trends

+ Supports enforcement of procurement policies and processes, including the use of Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes to identify potential suppliers.

+ Establishes and supports the development of ongoing reporting for key category metrics.

Job Requirements

+ Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in business, finance, operations management, or a related field required

+ Demonstrated planning and time management skills

+ Ability to work on multiple projects

+ Ability to build and maintain relationships

+ Strong communication skills

+ Strong research and analytical skills

+ Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point)

+ Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures
