Specialty: Physiatry Description Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute (BHRI), in conjunction with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), is seeking BE/BC Physiatrists to practice inpatient medicine. BHRI is a 120-bed, CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation hospital. It is the largest in the state of Arkansas and is one of eleven hospitals within the Baptist Health system. In addition, BHRI has 15 outpatient therapy centers across central Arkansas. There are currently three Physiatrists on active staff. All of the physicians are PM&R trained and provide a mix of inpatient and outpatient services. They also share the call rotation for the hospital. Inpatient demand indicates a need for a well-trained, energetic physician who is ready to join a busy practice. AHG is the employed physician group for Baptist Health. Currently one of the three Physiatrists on staff is employed by AHG. This opportunity is for another Physiatrist to join the employed group. The other physicians on staff are employed by UAMS or are in private practice. Little Rock is located in Central Arkansas and has much to offer in the way of outdoor activities as well as cultural experiences. It is easy to understand why Arkansas is called the Natural State from the many rivers, lakes, parks, hiking trails and camping sites readily available and in close proximity. Little Rock boasts the Little Rock Zoo, Arkansas Arts Center, Arkansas Symphony, and The Repertory Theater, to name a few. Little Rock has the only downtown home to both a state capitol and a Presidential Library, and is linked on both sides of the Arkansas River by 24 miles of one of the best trail systems of parks and pedestrian bridges in the country. Requirements All physician positions are for Board Certified or Board Eligible MDs or DOs. This opportunity does not qualify for a J-1 visa waiver. All physicians must be able to obtain Arkansas licensure before they begin practicing. All physician applicants must complete a Pre-application form, provide copies of their DEA number, copies of state medical licenses (except for residents) and provide professional references that will allow us to do a background check before they are brought in for an interview. Interested candidates please call or submit your CV via email to further discuss this opportunity.
