Ouachita Valley Family Clinic in Camden, AR is seeking a Family Physician to join their group of 7 primary care physicians. The ideal candidate will be a physician who plans to practice in the community for many years and enjoys working with patients with a high level of complexity. The position requires seeing all types of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. The opportunity entails seeing a patient load of anywhere from 22-40 patients per day (based on physician preference), 4.5 days per week. The general medical call will be 1:6. Ouachita Valley Family Clinic began serving the community almost 70 years ago and is the only group practice in Camden. The population of Camden is roughly 12,000 but the patient draw area is approximately 25,000. The local hospital, Ouachita County Medical Center, was recently rated #1 for Hospital Safety among Arkansas hospitals according to This opportunity is employed with Arkansas Health Group (AHG), a subsidiary of Baptist Health. AHG employs roughly 600 medical providers throughout the state of Arkansas. Camden is located in southwest Arkansas, 40 miles from the Louisiana border. It is situated on a bluff overlooking the Ouachita River. The community has a long history of aerospace and defense manufacturing and an abundance of natural resources in timber and coal. In recent years they have begun developing renewable energy projects. Camden is known for unique festivals like the Camden Barn Sale in the fall and the Daffodil Festival in the spring. There are abundant wildlife and fishing opportunities in the region. They have a Historic Downtown District as well as many Civil War landmarks and more than 20 houses that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
