The primary purpose of a Business Relationship Manager is to work with business units to understand their objectives and strategic initiatives to ensure that IT services are provided that are in alignment with their goals. This position would help their assigned business areas understand how best leverage existing or new technology to accomplish short and long term initiatives. This person would be the primary liaison between the business unit and IT, helping them navigate the various technological areas to fully understand how they can use current and future product lines to achieve their strategic vision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Focus on understanding how services that are provided meet the requirements of the business unit.

+ Assist the business units in developing stated business outcomes and work with IT & other appropriate departments to achieve the desired results.

+ Identify how the business unit uses services and make recommendations on how to optimize its usage.

+ Track technological trends and new technologies that become available and ensure that the business units understand how they might leverage this to accomplish their objectives.

+ Liaison between the business unit and IT on SLA’s, relevant IT projects and initiatives, as well as track changes that affect the business unit from a technology perspective.

+ Measure levels of customer satisfaction and respond to any drop in satisfaction with suitable action plans.

+ Full engagement with the business unit so that they understand the way a service is presented and ensuring that commitments from all sides (business unit, vendor, and IT) have been fulfilled.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.

+ Ability to write routine reports, simple-to-business correspondence, and procedures.

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial report and/or legal documents.

+ Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Strong organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.

+ Must possess excellent telephone and customer service skills.

+ General banking knowledge preferred.

+ Proven track record of designing scalable, distributed software applications.

Required and Desired Education and Experience

+ BS/BA Degree (four year) from an accredited university/college OR

+ Four to six years of experience in IT/Ops Department, preferably in the financial services industry

+ MS Office programs

+ Core banking platforms

+ General banking applications
