Job Description

Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock (BHMC-NLR) is seeking BE/BC pulmonary critical care physicians to join an existing practice. The recruitment need is a combination of growth as well as replacing a physician who will soon be relocating out of state.
BHMC-NLR is a 225-bed hospital with a 17 bed ICU. There are currently five pulmonary critical care physicians that practice at the hospital; three in private practice and two in the employed group for Baptist Health. One of the two employed physicians is departing the practice in early 2019. There is an opportunity to hire 2-3 more doctors into the employed physician group.
This opportunity includes treating patients in the ICU as well as other pulmonary inpatients and seeing patients in the clinic. The two doctors each currently see 15-20 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.
BHMC-NLR is beginning Graduate Medical Education in the summer of 2019 with the opening of both a Family Medicine Residency and an Internal Medicine Residency. There are opportunities for interested physicians to work with the residents.
North Little Rock is a community of over 60,000 people. The city offers diverse, charming and affordable neighborhoods. The area boasts beautiful lakes, outstanding parks and recreational facilities, as well as walking and biking trails on the picturesque riverfront along the Arkansas River. Other highlights of the community include minor league baseball at Dickey-Stevens ballpark and an inland maritime museum.
